December 7, 2004 Spring Valley, Illinois Pictured left to right, 1st Place back row, Lee Scott, and Randy Carroll Tied for 2nd Place John Dalzot, Tom Giachetto Jr., Jim Hassler, and Troy Nelson Big Fish winners, in front, Doug Hoster and Ryan Vecchia The Illinois Walleye Trail, completed its 3rd tournament of the 2004 season, at Spring Valley, Illinois on December 7, 2003. The team of Randy Carroll, and Lee Scott, from Oswego, Illinois weighed in a 6 fish limit of 14 pounds 2.0 ounces. Earning them $1880.00. Randy and Lee were fishing south of Spring Valley with crank baits to bring in their limit of fish. They are also leading in the state point standings for the anglers of the year. The teams of John Dalzot, of Spring Valley, and Tom Giachetto Jr, of Ladd, Illinois and Jim Hassler of Ladd, and Troy Nelson, tied for 2nd place with limits weighing 14 pounds even. This earned them $1160.00. Big Fish honors with a 3 pound 11 oz. catch went to the team of Doug Hoster, Senaca, Illinois and Ryan Vecchia, Spring Valley, Illinois worth $420.00. The next tournament will be March 6 and 7th 2004, for the 4th Annual Illinois Governors cup which is a 2 day tournament based on 120 teams. First place will get $10,000.00.
