Walleye Pros Troll for the Future at Lake Chamberlain The National Professional Anglers Association Conducts Youth Event CHAMBERLAIN, SD - The National Professional Anglers Association, with a membership that exceeds 450 fishing professionals, is proud to host a Chamberlain area youth event on Saturday, May 8, starting at 6 PM, at the Avenue of Flags in Chamberlain. Area youth of ALL ages are invited to meet the NPAA Pros, hop up into the Pros’ top-of-the-line equipped boats and learn how to tie knots, bait hooks, and learn things from fish biology to boating safety tips. NPAA Pros represent the best of the best and will share their walleye catching tricks with the kids to ensure the kids’ future fishing ventures will be a great way to spend their recreational time with family and friends for the rest of their lives. Steve Fellegy, veteran NPAA walleye Pro and youth event coordinator at all the PWT tournaments says, “We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to come to the Chamberlain area and interact with the kids. It’s very important that we introduce fishing to kids at an early age.” NPAA Pros are among 120 professional walleye anglers in town to compete in the Trilene/PowerBait Pro-Am Artificial Challenge, which is the second of six tournaments in the prestigious In-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail. The winning pro will take home $64,000 in cash and prizes. The tournament is being held on the Missouri River beginning May 12 and runs through Friday, May 14. The weigh-ins will be held at Cedar Shores resort starting at 3:00 PM daily. For more information, times and location, on this great opportunity for Chamberlain area youth, contact the Chamberlain Area Chamber of Commerce at 605-734-4416 or the NPAA office at 630-845-2766. “Let’s Go Fishing!”
