Well, the old Illinois River is giving us everything
she can. With only 10 days before the Illinois Walleye Trail
to begin its second half of the 2009 season it is crested
at the second all-time high. The Saugers were beginning to
turn on for their annual spring spawn. The silver lining in
the cloud is that they will go ahead and spawn and normally
during high water spawning we get a much better survival rate.
Based on the current river conditions we have had to reschedule
our tournaments. Our schedule for the balance of the 2009
IWT Season will be as follows:
April 19, 2009 Spring Valley Illinois
May 2, 2009 Spring Valley Illinois
May 3, 2009 Spring Valley IL. State Championship
The 3rd Annual Angler Young Angler Tournament is scheduled
for June 7, 2009 at Hennepin Illinois. This tournament is
limited to the first 50 boats signing up. We still have a
few openings left if you are interested. The Angler Young
Angler is the fastest growing youth tournament series in the
United States and Canada. If you would like to learn more

The Illinois Walleye Trail is a qualifying tournament series
for the Cabelas National Team Championship and for 2009 will
also be a qualifying tournament trail for the (AIM) Anglers
In Motion.
